I had the honor and pleasure of being invited to the Coupe du Palais, held in Paris on March 1st and 2nd, 2025, to present Évolutio.1999 throughout the weekend. This major event, bringing together some of France's greatest chess enthusiasts, was an opportunity to introduce the unique mechanics and innovative strategic world of my game to a demanding and curious audience.
At the heart of this prestigious tournament, a pleasant surprise awaited me: Maître Joël Gautier, the event organizer and president of the famous club Barreau Paris Échecs, offered me the opportunity for an exclusive interview dedicated to Évolutio.1999. We discussed the game's origins, its novel rules — such as movable squares, rotating wheels, and piece recovery — as well as its strategic and social dimensions.
This spontaneous interview, recorded and broadcast to the participants, generated considerable interest. The questions from players, both amateurs and experts, confirmed the appeal of a chess version that goes beyond the traditional framework and incorporates an interactive and evolving dimension.
