On Thursday, December 19, 2024, I had the honor of being invited to the general assembly of the prestigious chess club Barreau Paris Échecs, at the invitation of Mr. Joël Gautier, a renowned lawyer and chess master. This event was an exceptional opportunity to present Évolutio.1999, the revolutionary chess game I designed and refined over the years.
Upon my arrival, I was warmly welcomed by the club members, chess enthusiasts with diverse backgrounds, all sharing a curiosity and enthusiasm for innovations in this field. During my presentation, I had the pleasure of unveiling the unique specifics of Évolutio.1999: its 192 squares, including 96 mobile squares distributed over three central wheels, its innovative rules allowing 2, 3, or 4 players, and its potential to enrich the chess experience while respecting the essence of the classic game.
The interest and discussions that followed were particularly enriching. Participants asked pertinent questions, shared their thoughts, and envisioned both recreational and educational applications for the game. This significant moment, marked by passionate discussions, confirmed that Évolutio.1999 has a rightful place among the major evolutions in the world of chess.
This experience not only strengthened my confidence in the project but also forged valuable connections with influential figures in the chess world. I would like to express my gratitude to Barreau Paris Échecs for their welcome and to Joël Gautier for his constant support.
